The LDRB 300 seismic isolator is ideal for 1- or 2-level house-type buildings, since due to its damping and displacement properties it provides a reduction in the seismic demand of the structure, without the need for a significant investment in the isolation system. , providing a longer useful life to the building and a better behavior against seismic stresses. The seismic isolator is prepared for immediate installation and has connection bolts that facilitate its connection to the superstructure.
This device is made of an elastomer [1] reinforced with vulcanized steel, it is designed to support the weight of the structure and provide elasticity beyond the yield point. The elastomer layers manage to isolate and re-center the support during the earthquake and the energy of the movement is dissipated in the form of heat.
